Onvo, a sub-brand of Nio Inc (NYSE: NIO), is shipping display vehicles of its flagship SUV L90 seven-seat version to stores, with deliveries set to begin in about one month.

The L90 seven-seater show cars are arriving at Onvo stores, and starting at 10:00 am Beijing time on August 29, visitors can experience it in over 60 Chinese cities, the brand announced yesterday.

Onvo officially launched the L90 on July 31 and commenced deliveries of the large electric SUV the following day on August 1.

Those currently being delivered are the six-seat versions, with the seven-seat variant slated for delivery starting in late September, Onvo previously said.

The arrival of the seven-seat L90 show cars at Onvo stores coincides with the opening of the 2025 Chengdu auto show, running from August 29 to September 7.

As usual, Onvo has a dedicated booth at the auto show, located at H1405 in Hall 14, opposite BMW and Mini.

Nio shares a booth with its sub-brand Firefly at H405 in Hall 4, opposite the Mercedes-Benz.

Onvo said yesterday on Weibo that visitors are welcome to experience the L90's zero-gravity seats at the Chengdu auto show.

The L90's launch represents a rare major success for Nio Inc in recent years with a new product, primarily driven by aggressive pricing and a tight delivery schedule.

Nio Inc is expected to see new order flow surge about 120 percent month-on-month in August to around 57,000 units, largely fueled by strong demand for the Onvo L90 SUV, according to a research note released yesterday by Deutsche Bank.

New order flow for the Nio, Onvo, and Firefly brands in August was about 15,000, 40,000, and 2,000 units respectively, according to the note.

Deutsche Bank projects Nio Inc's August deliveries could reach 32,000 units, with Nio, Onvo, and Firefly contributing 11,000, 17,000, and 4,000 units respectively.

Additionally, the popularity of the L90 has helped draw more attention to Onvo's first model, the L60 midsize SUV, Nio management previously stated.

Yesterday, Nio founder, chairman, and CEO William Li shared a video on Weibo showing completed L60 cars autonomously driving within the factory campus.
