Base blamed the 33-minute outage on a faulty sequencer, which has been repaired."

Online reports reported that Coinbase's Ethereum second-layer blockchain Base experienced a 33-minute block generation outage on Tuesday because it switched to a backup sorter that was not properly set up to process transactions. The incident began at 6:07 a.m. UTC, when active sorters began to lag in block generation, prompting a sorter switch on Conductor, Base's system to manage sorters availability and reliability. However, Base Build's X account said in a post on Tuesday that the system had switched to an "unhealthy main-network sorter" that was still in the setup stage and therefore could not generate blocks.
