Both bipartisan funding plans in the United States fail to pass the test, and the U.S. government is in deep deadlock in the shutdown."

Internet reported that on Wednesday, the U.S. Senate again vetoed funding bills proposed by Republicans and Democrats, failing to end the eight-day government shutdown and seeing no sign of a solution. In a 54 - 45 vote, the Senate failed to advance a Republican-led interim appropriations bill that would have provided funding for the government until late November. Another alternative funding bill supported by Democrats was also defeated by a vote of 47 to 52. Three Democratic senators who supported Republicans in previous votes again supported Republicans in Wednesday's vote. Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky once again stood with the Democrats in opposing the Republican proposal. The two competing interim appropriations measures have failed in five previous votes.
