France has urged the EU's top market regulator to start regulating major cryptocurrency companies immediately after major players expand on the continent, Internet reported. In a speech on Thursday, François Villeroy de Gallo, governor of the Bank of France, proposed transferring regulatory powers over operations in the industry to the European Securities and Markets Authority to ensure uniform application of standards across the EU.
