Internet reports that the Korea Financial Services Commission and the Exchange have approved a consortium related to Sora Ventures, KCGI and Metaplanet CEO Simon Gerovich to acquire a controlling stake in South Korean listed company SGA Co. It plans to issue approximately 58.86 million ordinary shares in a private direction, raising a total of approximately 34.49 billion won (approximately 25 million US dollars). The move signals that the consortium is promoting bitcoin financial strategy through Asian listed companies. Simon Gerovich, CEO of Metaplanet, will participate in his personal capacity, and Asia Strategy Partners LLC, which he supports, will become the largest shareholder of SGA Co. Previously, the group also launched a similar layout in Thailand and continued to expand the path for Bitcoin adoption in the Asian market.
