Kim Yo-jong: North Korea's status as a nuclear state is irreversible and DPRK-US contact is just the US's "hope"
According to online reports, Kim Yo-jong, Deputy Minister of the Central Committee of the Workers 'Party of Korea, delivered a speech entitled "DPRK-US Contact Is Only the" Hope "of the United States" on July 28. Kim Yu-jung said during his conversation that the United States unilaterally evaluated the past DPRK-US dialogue, and the North Korean side did not want to give any meaning to this. Kim Yo-jong said that North Korea's irreversible status as a nuclear power and its capabilities, as well as the geopolitical environment, have undergone fundamental changes. Acknowledging this fact should be a prerequisite for predicting and thinking about everything in the future. The Democratic People's Republic of Korea is open to any option to maintain its current national status. Kim Yo-jong said that if the United States does not accept the changed reality and adheres to its failed past, the DPRK-US meeting can only stay in the "hope" of the United States. (CCTV)
