The U.S. House of Representatives votes on procedural rules, cryptocurrency bill is expected to be voted on tomorrow

According to online reports, journalist Eleanor Terrett reported that the U.S. House of Representatives passed a procedural rule vote with a narrow margin of 217-212, paving the way for votes on key bills such as cryptocurrency and defense spending. The vote lasted nearly 10 hours, setting a record for the longest vote in the U.S. House of Representatives. Some Republican lawmakers changed their positions many times within 24 hours, from opposition to support, then to opposition, and finally to support. After a procedural vote, House leadership committed to incorporating anti-CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency) provisions into the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The GENIUS bill and a possible CLARITY bill will be submitted to Parliament for a final vote as soon as tomorrow. The GENIUS bill is seen as an important step in modernizing financial regulation and includes strict reserve requirements for stablecoin issuers and provisions that restrict CBDC development.
