British court orders BTCMining, a crypto mining platform suspected of transnational fraud, to shut down "

Internet reports that British crypto mining platform BTCMining was ordered by the court to close due to suspected cross-border fraud. The company provides so-called "cloud mining" services to customers in multiple countries around the world, charging fees but failing to deliver promised profits and preventing users from withdrawing funds. According to an investigation by the British Bankruptcy Office, the company, which was established in January 2024, had multiple violations: the registered address was forged, the only director was lost, and the website was closed. At present, victims from Estonia, Mauritania and other countries have reported losses of more than US$18,000, but the actual amount of fraud may be higher. The Manchester High Court ruled to close the company after an April 28 hearing.
