Nio to report Q2 2025 earnings on Sept 2

Nio Inc (NYSE: NIO) announced today that it will release its unaudited second-quarter financial results before the opening of US stock markets on Tuesday, September 2.
The company's management will host an earnings conference call on September 2 at 8:00 am US Eastern time (8:00 pm Beijing time).
In the second quarter, Nio Inc delivered 72,056 vehicles, within the guidance range of 72,000 to 75,000 units.
Deliveries for the quarter increased by 25.59 percent year-on-year and by 71.18 percent quarter-on-quarter.
The Nio main brand delivered 47,132 vehicles in the second quarter, a year-on-year decrease of 17.85 percent, but a 72.56 percent increase from the first quarter.
Sub-brand Onvo delivered 17,081 vehicles in the second quarter, a 15.56 percent increase from the first quarter.
Another sub-brand Firefly delivered 7,843 vehicles in the second quarter. This Nio sub-brand launched its first model, the Firefly EV, on April 19 and began its first deliveries on April 29.
Nio's revenue for the first quarter was RMB 12.03 billion, with 42,094 vehicles delivered during that period.
In the first quarter, Nio reported a net loss of RMB 6.75 billion, up 30.19 percent year-on-year, but down 5.08 percent from the fourth quarter of 2024.
The gross margin for the first quarter was 7.6 percent, compared to 4.9 percent in the first quarter of 2024 and 11.7 percent in the fourth quarter of 2024.
The company launched the L90 electric SUV under its Onvo sub-brand on July 29 and began deliveries on August 1.
The L90 has received a positive initial response, and the company is currently struggling to meet delivery demand.
Nio will unveil the third-generation ES8 electric SUV tomorrow, with the official launch scheduled for Nio Day 2025 in September.
