CME launched XRP futures trading volume reached US$19 million on the first day
Internet reports that CME Group launched XRP futures on Sunday, its fourth cryptocurrency product after Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana. CME said nominal trading volume exceeded $19 million on the first day. XRP Futures offers micro contracts (2500 XRP) and large contracts (50000 XRP), both settled in cash and anchored to the CME CF XRP-US Dollar Reference Exchange Rate. Solana futures went online in March, with a first-day turnover of US$12.3 million. Noel Kimmel, president of Hidden Road, which cleared its first XRP futures transaction, said: "This is an important milestone for Hidden Road and marks the continued adoption of digital assets by institutions."
