The Ministry of Commerce responds to US attempt to ban China's advanced computing chips globally
According to online reports, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce issued a statement on the United States 'attempt to ban China's advanced computing chips globally. China has noted that the U.S. Department of Commerce recently issued guidelines attempting to ban China's advanced computing chips, including specific Huawei Shengteng chips, globally on the grounds of so-called presumed violations of U.S. export controls. China believes that the United States abuses export controls to contain and suppress China, violates international law and basic norms of international relations, seriously damages the legitimate rights and interests of China enterprises, and endangers China's development interests. China emphasized that the US measures are suspected of constituting discriminatory restrictive measures against China companies. Any organization or individual that implements or assists in the implementation of US measures will be suspected of violating the Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law of the People's Republic of China and other laws and regulations and must bear corresponding legal responsibilities.
