Michael Saylor refutes quantum computing threat: Bitcoin is far safer than banks and technology giants
According to online reports, Michael Saylor, a staunch supporter of Bitcoin and founder of Strategy, said in an interview with Bloomberg that he is not worried that quantum computing poses a threat to Bitcoin, saying it is being over-hyped. Saylor believes that the real threat to quantum computing is traditional systems such as Microsoft, Google, JPMorgan Chase and the U.S. government, not Bitcoin. He emphasized that even if quantum technology achieves breakthroughs in the next ten to twenty years, the blockchain system will be fully capable of upgrading to withstand risks. The more realistic threat currently is phishing rather than quantum attacks.
