Bitlayer announced a partnership with Sui, which will jointly implement the deployment and integration of BitVM Bridge ecosystem
On May 15, Bitlayer, a project based on the implementation of BitVM technology in the Bitcoin ecosystem, announced that it has reached a cooperation with Sui, a high-performance public chain. The two parties will jointly realize the deployment of BitVM Bridge, a trust-minimizing BTC bridge solution, and promote the integration and adoption of Peg-BTC (YBTC), the core component of BitVM Bridge in the Sui ecosystem. With the launch of Peg-BTC (YBTC), users will be able to explore diversified DeFi scenarios such as redemption, lending, and pledge interest on the asset on the Sui network. This cooperation also marks a key progress in BitVM Bridge's multi-chain ecosystem layout. As the first BTCFi infrastructure built based on BitVM, BitVM Bridge has now established cooperation with seven mainstream public chains and agreements, including Sui, Base, Starknet, Arbitrum, Sonic, Plume Network and Sundial, and will expand to more ecosystems in the future. According to official sources, BitVM Bridge has entered the final testing stage and is expected to launch the main network in the near future.
