Australia Stock Exchange sells Digital Asset's stake for US$37 million after abandoning blockchain trading project
According to online reports, the Australia Stock Exchange (ASX) announced that it had sold all its Digital Asset shares for US$37 million (A$57 million) to an unnamed investor. Digital Asset is the developer of the Australia Stock Exchange's blockchain trading system CHESS. However, after six years of hard work and changes in the management of the Australia Stock Exchange, the project was finally abandoned. Digital Asset has raised a total of US$315 million so far, and is backed by many blue-chip investors, including Accenture, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, IBM, JPMorgan Chase, etc.
