Meta poaches OpenAI core researchers to strengthen the layout of AI reasoning models

According to online reports, according to technology media TechCrunch, people familiar with the matter said that Meta has hired Trapit Bansal, an influential OpenAI researcher, to join the company's newly established AI super intelligence department to work on AI inference models. Bansal's addition may bring important assistance to Meta's AI super intelligence laboratory. The laboratory currently brings together a number of industry leaders, including former ScaleAI CEO Alexandr Wang, former GitHub CEO Nat Friedman, and Safe Superintelligence co-founder Daniel Gross. It is worth noting that Meta has not yet publicly launched any AI inference models in its open source model family Llama series. In recent months, Zuckerberg has been intensively recruiting talents through high salaries to form Meta's new AI team. It is said that he has provided a salary plan of up to US$100 million for top researchers. However, the specific salary package for Bansal's joining this time has not been disclosed.
