Asymmetric gradually closes Liquid Alpha fund and shifts to long-term investment in blockchain infrastructure

Internet reports that Joe McCann announced the gradual closure of Asymmetric's Liquid Alpha fund because the fund's value has shrunk significantly this year, with unconfirmed rumors falling by 78%. McCann said the fund strategy "is no longer in the interests of LP" and Asymmetric will abandon its liquidity trading strategy and focus instead on long-term investments in blockchain infrastructure. Investors can choose to ignore the lock-up period and exit or transfer funds into new illiquid investment structures. Despite Liquid Alpha's troubles, other Asymmetric business units, especially its venture capital strategy, remain intact and will continue to support early blockchain projects.
