U.S. intelligence shows Iran has been preparing for a possible attack on U.S. bases
According to Internet reports, according to the New York Times, US officials familiar with the matter said that Iran has prepared missiles and other military equipment. Once the United States joins Israel's war against Iran, Iran will launch attacks on US bases in the Middle East. Reports said the United States has sent about 36 tankers to Europe that could be used to help protect fighter jets at U.S. bases or to extend the range of bombers that could launch attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities. As Israel presses the White House to intervene in the conflict with Iran, U.S. officials are increasingly worried about a broader war. Officials said if the United States joins Israel in launching an attack on Iran's key nuclear facility, Fordo, the Iranian-backed Houthi forces will almost certainly resume attacks on Red Sea ships. They added that pro-Iranian militias in Iraq and Syria could try to attack U.S. bases there. Other officials said Iran could start laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz in the event of an attack, a tactic designed to trap U.S. warships in the Persian Gulf.
