Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) launched the facelifted G6 in Thailand, as the electric SUV (sport utility vehicle) celebrates its one-year anniversary there.
The Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker rolled out the updated G6 in Thailand at an event held in Bangkok on August 21, celebrating the company's one-year presence in the country, according to a statement released today.
The updated G6 comes standard with batteries supporting 5C ultra-fast charging, built on an 800-volt high-voltage platform, and features the AI-powered Tianji XOS system upon launch, the company said.
The updated G6 is available in Thailand in Long Range and AWD Performance variants, with starting prices of 1.349 million Thai baht ($41,310) and 1.489 million Thai baht, respectively.
Both models are equipped with an 80.8 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, which can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in 12 minutes.
The Long Range variant has a NEDC range of 600 km, while the AWD Performance variant has a range of 575 km.
The G6 Long Range is powered by a rear-mounted motor with an output of 218 kW (293 horsepower), capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds.
The Performance variant adds a front motor, bringing the total system output to 358 kW, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.13 seconds.
The G6 was initially launched in China in June 2023, playing a significant role in boosting Xpeng's deliveries.
On August 21, 2024, Xpeng launched the right-hand drive version of the G6 in Thailand.
In March this year, Xpeng launched the updated G6 in China, with a current starting price of RMB 176,800 ($24,620).
To date, the G6 has been launched in over 30 countries and regions, including Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, France, Egypt, Singapore, and Australia.
