Researcher of the Ethereum Foundation: The current Ethereum executive layer expansion roadmap is progressing smoothly
On April 28, Toni Wahrstätter, a researcher at the Ethereum Foundation, issued a document on the X platform stating that the current Ethereum execution layer expansion roadmap is progressing smoothly, including continuous increase in the Gas upper limit (EIP-7935), historical data expiration (EIP-4444), delayed execution (EIP-7886), block access list (EIP-7928) and block level warm-up (EIP-7863). Recently, the Gas limit has been raised from 30M to 36M, and the future goal is to achieve 100M before Glamsburg upgrades. The Nethermind team has also launched a new test network, PerfNet, to test shorter time slots and higher Gas limits. Proposal EIP-9698 proposes to achieve exponential growth in the Gas cap over four years through default client voting.
