Buick today unveiled interior details for its Electra L7, a new energy sedan. The Electra L7’s cabin is set to feature a dual 120° zero-gravity seat and will debut the Buick Sound 27-speaker audio system.

The Electra L7 measures 5032mm in length, 1952mm in width, and 1500mm in height, with a substantial wheelbase of 3000mm. Its interior adopts a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch intelligent central control screen, with “Starlight Gold Sand” trim strips connecting the instrument panel and door panels.

The new sedan is equipped with four full-function, suspended-layer seats. The Nappa leather “cloud-feel” second-row seats feature a suspended layer design, with the core utilising mother-and-baby grade ultra-soft pearl cotton and Surflex™ slow-rebound triple comfort cotton.

A highlight of the Electra L7 is the class-first dual 120° zero-gravity seat in the front passenger position. This seat includes a 4-way electric leg rest that can extend by 103mm, allowing occupants to adjust to a zero-gravity posture where both the thigh-to-torso and calf-to-thigh angles are 120°. The zero-gravity mode can be conveniently activated via voice commands, the central screen, or physical buttons.

The Electra L7 will debut the Buick Sound digital audio system, featuring 27 speakers with a peak power output of 2000W. Four sky speakers and two hat-rack subwoofers create a delicate and realistic “overhead sound” in the vertical dimension, while the remaining 21 speakers are strategically placed in the dashboard, front and rear doors, D-pillars, and headrests to form a 360° horizontal sound field.

The headrest audio system offers three playback modes, including a “private mode” where all sound is delivered through the headrests. The driver’s headrest audio can independently handle navigation, calls, and media playback, preventing interference between driving information and entertainment.

Buick China claims it is a 300,000 yuan-class car. CarNewsChina estimates it will be priced around 250,000 yuan (34,800 USD).
