WSJ: WLFI founder's Middle East trip is partially led by CZ

On May 23, the Wall Street Journal quoted people familiar with the matter as reporting that Trump's Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff had flown to the United Arab Emirates a month before Trump took office to discuss regional issues and participated in a crypto-themed meeting. Zach Witkoff, son of Steve Witkoff and founder of World Liberty Financial, will compare Trump to the "godfather" when promoting to cryptocurrency companies and say that WLFI will be able to make full use of the changing cryptocurrency regulatory policies in the United States. Zach Witkoff met with senior government figures in Pakistan-a few weeks later, they negotiated a ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan with the Trump administration. Zach Witkoff suggested to them that WLFI could use blockchain technology to "tokenize" the trading of rare earth minerals in the country. Binance founder CZ helped WLFI manage some overseas trips. A WLFI spokesperson said that CZ is only a friend of Zach Witkoff, but not a "middleman." In addition, the WLFI team has discussed token purchases with other Gulf companies, suggesting that such transactions may help their expansion plans in the United States. But a company spokesman denied this claim.
