Genesis sues parent company DCG, recovering more than $1 billion in transfers

Internet reported that Crypto-lending platform Genesis Global Capital sued its parent company Digital Currency Group in the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York on Monday, seeking the recovery of more than $1 billion in transfers it made a year before bankruptcy. Genesis alleges in its complaint that multiple parties, including DCG, founder Barry Silbert and its affiliates,"transferred funds to each other while the company was insolvent." Genesis seeks to recognize these transfers as preferential payments under bankruptcy law and recover their value. Among them, the value of the crypto payment portion exceeds US$582 million, while the total amount of priority transfers exceeds US$1.2 billion.
