Dan Marokane, CEO of South Africa's state-owned electricity company Eskom, said the company is exploring opportunities to support Bitcoin mining, artificial intelligence (AI) development and data centers to help it develop in the future. Marokane pointed out at the BizNews conference earlier this year that data centers and Bitcoin mining are driving electricity demand in the United States.
