EDA tools have recently quietly resumed opening up to some China companies

June 10 news, on the evening of June 5, 2025 Beijing time, after high-level talks between China and the United States, China's semiconductor and electronic design automation (EDA) strategies have undergone subtle changes. According to feedback from several local China IC design engineers and companies, Synopsys technical support platform "Solv Net Plus" and Cadence's "Support Portal", which were previously inaccessible due to U.S. export controls, have now been restored. However, neither Synopsys nor Cadence officially disclosed the change. It is unclear whether the restoration will only apply to specific and less sensitive China customers, raising questions about the possibility of the United States relaxing technical restrictions on China.
