Gemini is bullish on the UK crypto market, with nearly a quarter of retail investors holding cryptocurrencies
According to online reports, Gemini UK head Slutzkin said that the crypto holding rate of British retail investors has increased from 18% last year to 24%, making it an important market for the company. Gemini has been registered and licensed in the UK since 2020, has set up an office in London and expanded its team. Despite the active participation of young investors, many are still waiting for the regulatory "stamp of approval" before entering the market. The UK plans to implement comprehensive crypto regulation in 2026, including stablecoins, trading platforms, lending, pledges and custody, but the new regulations focus more on business behavior than product restrictions. Gemini's core business is still mainly trading, custody and pledge. The company is generally optimistic about the market prospects and is ready to respond to new tax and compliance regulations.
