VivoPower will buy US$100 million worth of Ripple shares "

VivoPower International PLC today announced that it will acquire a stake in Ripple Labs as part of its XRP-focused digital asset money management strategy, the Internet reported. After two months of due diligence, VivoPower has planned to purchase $100 million worth of privately held shares in Ripple. This includes reaching a final agreement directly with existing Ripple shareholders and requiring final approval from Ripple's senior management. In addition to these transactions, VivoPower will continue to directly acquire and hold XRP tokens. Ripple minted a fixed number of 100 billion XRP tokens when it was founded, and given that approximately 14 million XRP tokens have been destroyed so far, the network is currently in a state of slight deflation. Ripple continues to hold 41 billion XRP tokens, mainly in custody. In addition, Ripple also has multiple operating businesses, including its stablecoin RLUSD, leading digital asset brokers HiddenRoad, MetaCo and StandardCustody and Trust Company, and the recently acquired stablecoin payment platform company Rail. On a weighted average basis, this strategy aims to keep the acquisition cost per XRP token well below the market price of XRP. For every US$10 million of Ripple acquired, VivoPower shareholders expect to gain an appreciation of US$5.15 per share (this appreciation is based on factors such as current market prices of VVPR, XRP and the weighted average acquisition price of Ripple, all of which are subject to fluctuations and changes).
