SharpLink Gaming plans to raise US$1 billion to increase its holdings in ETH
Internet reports that SharpLink Gaming filed FormS-3ASR with the U.S. SEC and has signed an ATM (mark-to-market) sales agreement with A.G.P. Under the agreement, it can issue and sell up to US$1 billion in common shares through A.G.P. Most of the proceeds from this offering will be used to purchase ETH, the native cryptocurrency of the Ethereum blockchain. It is also planned to use the proceeds from this offering for working capital needs, general corporate purposes, operating expenses, etc. Previously, SharpLink Gaming announced that it had signed a securities purchase agreement to conduct a private equity investment of US$425 million. Consensus Software Inc. led the investment as the main investor. Participants include ParaFi Capital, Electric Capital, Pantera Capital, Galaxy Digital and other well-known crypto venture capital institutions. The transaction is expected to be completed on May 29.
