Chinese electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) developer Ehang (NASDAQ: EH) will unveil its next-generation VT35 next month to expand its product portfolio.

On October 13, Ehang's VT35 long-range lift-and-cruise pilotless passenger eVTOL aircraft will make its debut, the company announced today.

The VT35's unveiling coincides with the two-year anniversary of Ehang's flagship EH216-S model receiving its Type Certificate (TC), aiming to spearhead air mobility transformation, the company said.

Ehang did not disclose further details about the VT35, sharing only several posters revealing the product's silhouette.

The company mentioned during its second quarter earnings release on August 26 that the VT35 was advancing internal testing and flight trials, with an official debut expected in September.

Ehang was strengthening its collaboration with the Hefei municipal government in Anhui province to establish a VT35 series product hub in Hefei, covering research and development, testing, manufacturing, airworthiness certification, supply chain management, sales, operations, and talent cultivation.

The project has secured about RMB 500 million yuan ($70.2 million) in government support, including eVTOL product orders, investments, and other industrial chain cooperation initiatives, it said in August.

This aims to accelerate the VT35 series' R&D and foster the development of the low-altitude economy ecosystem, the company said.

Ehang ranks among China's earliest eVTOL manufacturers, with its flagship product being the EH216 series passenger eVTOL.

The company also offers the VT20 series logistics eVTOL and has pioneered an 83-kilometer intercity drone logistics route between Zhuhai and Guangzhou.

In the second quarter, Ehang delivered 68 EH216 series eVTOLs to 13 corporate clients across multiple Chinese provinces and Japan, while securing over 150 new orders for the EH216 series during the period.

The EH216-S has established over 40 operational sites in China and overseas, accumulating more than 10,000 flights in the first half of 2025.

The company reported second-quarter revenue of RMB 147 million and a net loss of RMB 81 million.
