On April 30, Tether announced that it would acquire a 70% stake in Aecoagro, a South American sustainable production company. After the acquisition was completed, Aecoagro's board of directors made major adjustments. The cooperation between Tether and Aecoagro began in September 2024, when Tether invested US$100 million to acquire a 9.8% stake in Aecoagro.
