The US Supreme Court allows Trump to make large-scale government agency layoffs."

Online reported that on Tuesday, the U.S. Supreme Court cleared the way for the Trump administration to resume plans for mass layoffs and organizational restructuring. Judges reversed a May 22 order by San Francisco District Judge Susan Ilston that banned large-scale federal layoffs. In February, Trump announced "major changes to the federal bureaucracy" in an executive order, directing agencies to prepare for government reforms aimed at significantly reducing federal workers and eliminating offices and projects that the government opposes. In a brief, unsigned order, the Supreme Court said the Trump administration "will likely succeed on the arguments of its executive order and the memorandum implementing its order." The Supreme Court said it did not assess the legality of any specific layoff plans for federal agencies.
