Fiserv will join forces with PayPal and Circle to launch FIUSD, a dollar stablecoin
According to online reports, financial services company Fiserv announced that it will cooperate with PayPal and Circle to launch its self-issued dollar-backed stablecoin FIUSD. The token is expected to be officially released before the end of the year and will initially run on the Solana blockchain and integrate with Fiserv's core banking platform Finxact. The partnership aims to expand the coverage of digital asset services with Fiserv's vast network, which includes more than 10,000 financial institutions and 6 million merchants. FIUSD is designed to achieve seamless payment settlement, remittance and invoice reconciliation functions through tokenization of dollars.
