Bitzlato co-founder asks for pardon from the US president after pleading guilty

Anatoly Legkodymov, a Russian citizen and former CEO of cryptocurrency exchange Bitzlato, asked U.S. President Donald Trump for federal pardon after pleading guilty in 2023 and serving 18 months in prison, Internet reports. According to Russian state media TASS reported on Friday, Legodimov's legal team formally asked Trump for a presidential pardon after he pleaded guilty in December 2023. Legodimov was charged in January 2023, pleaded guilty in December 2023, and was sentenced to serve his sentence in July 2024, after having been detained for approximately 18 months.
