US SEC delays decision on XRP and Dogecoin ETF proposals and solicits public opinion
Internet reports that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has postponed its decision on whether to approve an exchange-traded fund (ETF) proposal to track XRP and dogcoin, and has requested public comment on the 21Shares Core XRP Trust, Grayscale XRP Trust and Grayscale Dogecoin Trust. The SEC said in a filing: "Given the legal and policy issues raised by the proposed rule changes, it is appropriate to initiate the process at this time.""Initiation of the process does not mean that the committee has reached a conclusion on any issues involved. Instead, the committee wants and encourages relevant parties to provide comments on proposed rule changes." In addition, the SEC also postponed its decision on whether to approve the Bitwise Ethereum ETF's proposal to participate in the pledge. "No matter who leads it, the SEC will run out almost all of its time," Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart said. He pointed out: "The final deadline for almost all such applications is October, and it would be unusual to decide in advance."
