Bittensor Recovery Subnet Registration and Deregistration Mechanism

On October 16, the OpenTensor Foundation tweeted that Bittensor restored the subnet registration and deregistration mechanism, with a subnet limit of 128. The new subnet will replace the lowest performance subnet and receive a four-month immunity period. This update inspires subnet teams to prove value or free up space, improving competition and project quality. TAOs that are deregistered from subnets will be allocated proportionately to alpha holders, which will unlock TAOs stranded in inactive liquidity pools and redirect them to more active areas of the network. New subnet registrations will incur destruction costs rather than lock-in costs, which currently cost 2500 TAO.
