China will suspend the imposition of 24% tariffs on US goods for 90 days and retain the remaining 10% tariffs

According to online reports, the China-US Geneva Economic and Trade Talks jointly stated: China will revise the ad valorem tariffs imposed on U.S. goods stipulated in the Taxation Commission Announcement No. 4 of 2025 accordingly: of which, 24% of the tariffs will be suspended for the initial 90 days, while retaining the remaining 10% tariff increase on these goods, and canceling the tariff increase on these goods according to the Taxation Commission Announcement Nos. 5 and 6 of 2025; Take necessary measures to suspend or cancel non-tariff countermeasures against the United States starting on April 2, 2025.
