CoreWeave and OpenAI reach a new $4 billion contract to deepen AI infrastructure cooperation
According to online reports, CoreWeave disclosed in its first financial report after its IPO that OpenAI had signed a new contract worth $4 billion with it after the end of the first quarter. The agreement is another major deal in addition to the five-year, US$11.9 billion cooperation reached between the two parties in the first quarter. CoreWeave CEO Mike Intrator said the new contracts reflect strong demand from customers for its Infrastructure services rather than price increases. It is worth noting that OpenAI also relies on Microsoft's Infrastructure services, which will contribute 62% of CoreWeave's revenue in 2024.
