US appeals court rejects Trump administration's request to bar it from advancing layoffs and restructuring plans

The Internet reported that on May 30 local time, the San Francisco-based U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit rejected the Trump administration's request and refused to suspend a lower-court ruling. The ruling prohibits the Trump administration from advancing plans for large-scale federal employee layoffs and government restructuring. This means that the Trump administration is currently unable to continue its plan to cut tens of thousands of federal jobs and close numerous government agencies and projects. (Jin Shi)
