Onvo, a sub-brand of Nio Inc (NYSE: NIO), today marked the delivery of its 20,000th L90 just two months after the launch of the large SUV (sport utility vehicle).

Onvo announced this milestone on Weibo, revealing that the 20,000th L90 owner is renowned Chinese actor Xiaoshenyang.

This indicates the L90 has delivered 9,425 units this month, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

Onvo officially launched the L90 on July 31 and commenced deliveries the following day on August 1.

In August, the L90 delivered 10,575 units, accounting for 33.78 percent of Nio Inc's monthly deliveries of 31,305 vehicles.

The L90 comes standard with an 85-kWh battery pack, with a starting price of RMB 265,800 ($37,000) including the battery, considered competitive.

Under the BaaS (battery as a service) battery rental plan, the Onvo L90 starts at RMB 179,800 with a monthly battery rental fee of RMB 899.

Ten days prior, Onvo launched the updated L60 -- the brand's first model -- with deliveries set to begin in mid-to-late October.

On September 27, Nio's premium compact car brand Firefly reached the milestone of 20,000 vehicle deliveries, five months after its market launch.

This indicates Firefly has delivered 5,445 vehicles this month, poised to set a new record for September deliveries.
