Layer-2 Rollup protocol Aztec announces launch of testnet "
Internet reports that Aztec, a privacy-focused Layer-2 Rollup protocol, announced a test online launch. The protocol uses protocol-level encryption technology to allow users to store private data on the blockchain in an encrypted form. The project team said they have been working on developing the product for more than eight years, pushing this cutting-edge technology further to the main network. Co-founder Zac Williamson said that unlike regular ZK Rollup, Aztec prioritizes privacy rather than scalability, and a single transaction requires more resources on the chain. Previously, in 2022, it was reported that Aztec Network completed US$100 million in Series B financing, with a16z leading the investment.
