On May 1, Atlas Axis, Sky (formerly MakerDAO)'s core governance design team, submitted a proposal on Wednesday that if approved, will complete the upgrade of the agreement from MKR to SKY. This shift will make SKY the only governance token and support pledges to unlock USDS rewards for SKY holders. Sky co-founder Rune Christensen praised the proposal as a "huge milestone" in a forum post. Although USDS and SKY were launched as upgrade tokens, DAI and MKR are still in circulation, and users can choose to convert the tokens they hold into new ones, allowing for a gradual transition.
