Internet reports that Malaysian police smashed an electricity theft gang that illegally mined bitcoin from the Urutengyalu and Malang areas during yesterday's Operation Op Letrik. During the operation, 45 mining machines and related equipment worth approximately RM225,000 were seized, and illegal theft of electricity resulted in a monthly loss of approximately RM36,000. The case is being investigated in accordance with relevant laws and the offender can face up to five years in prison and a fine of RM100,000.
