Consensus Sys said Ethereum's new pledge cap would hinder decentralization and pave the way for institutional participation

According to the Internet, Mallesh Pai, research director of consenSys, said that the Ethereum Pectra upgrade "does not pose a threat to decentralization" and only cleans up "a lot of complex work that the network is doing behind the scenes." He emphasized that "rewards continue to be proportional to the amount of ETH pledged", that is,"large verifiers will not gain more advantages as a result." This upgrade will increase the pledge limit for a single verifier from 32 ETH to 2048 ETH, raising concerns about decentralization. Pai pointed out that many technical verifiers are "not really independent" and keys can be integrated after upgrades."We have seen this happen.""Ideally, the number of verifiers will drop to about 30,000." Vice President of Institutional Business at P2P.org said the new cap "makes institutional pledges easier to integrate and less risky."
