Online reports, CNN reported that a key adviser to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is calling for missile attacks on U.S. Navy ships and the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, a key oil transportation channel. Hossein Shariatmadari, editor-in-chief of Iran's Le Monde newspaper, warned: "After the U.S. attack on the Fordo nuclear facility, it is now our turn to act." As a well-known conservative voice, he previously claimed to be a "representative" of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. "As a first step, we must launch a missile strike on the U.S. naval fleet in Bahrain without hesitation or delay, while closing the Strait of Hormuz to U.S., British, German and French ships," he said.
