Iran's supreme leader's 'adviser': Iran should attack U.S. fleet and close the Strait of Hormuz
Online reports, CNN reported that a key adviser to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is calling for missile attacks on U.S. Navy ships and the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, a key oil transportation channel. Hossein Shariatmadari, editor-in-chief of Iran's Le Monde newspaper, warned: "After the U.S. attack on the Fordo nuclear facility, it is now our turn to act." As a well-known conservative voice, he previously claimed to be a "representative" of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. "As a first step, we must launch a missile strike on the U.S. naval fleet in Bahrain without hesitation or delay, while closing the Strait of Hormuz to U.S., British, German and French ships," he said. At present, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has not made an official response to the U.S. attack on Iran's nuclear facilities. (Jin Shi)
