French lawmakers invite Jan3 founder to promote national bitcoin adoption plan
On June 22, it was reported that French European Parliament Member Sarah Knafo had invited Jan3 founder Samson Mow to visit France to discuss plans to establish a "strategic bitcoin reserve" for France and promote friendly supervision. Mow expressed his expectation of launching a "national-level Bitcoin adoption wave" in France and even across Europe. The move comes against the backdrop of increasing participation in bitcoin in the public and private sectors in France, including French state-owned bank Bpifrance's announcement of an investment of US$27 million to support local crypto projects, and Blockchain Group, Europe's first bitcoin treasury company, increased its holdings to 1,471 bitcoins.
