The Uniswap Foundation plans to adopt the Wyoming DUNA legal framework to establish a "DUNI" entity to pave the way for agreement fees

Online reports that the Uniswap Foundation proposes to establish a new legal entity called "DUNI" for its governance organization under the framework of Wyoming's Decentralized Non-Registered Non-Profit Association (DUNA) to preserve the existing governance structure and meet compliance, tax and contract signing needs. The plan proposes to allocate US$16.5 million worth of UNI to the entity to settle historical taxes and penalties expected to be less than US$10 million, and to establish a legal defense budget. The foundation's general counsel said that the move will lay the foundation for the future use of agreement fees (transferring part of LP fees to the DAO treasury). Under this framework, fee income cannot be directly allocated to UNI holders and will not change Uniswap's decentralized governance model.
