Park Kyu Lee, a member of South Korean women's group Kara, is accused of participating in the Pica Coin cryptocurrency fraud case

On July 24, it was reported that Kara member Park Kyu Lee faced more cryptocurrency-related charges. Park Kyu Lee is accused of participating in the Pica Coin cryptocurrency fraud involving Park Geun-hye's ex-boyfriend Song Tse-ho. Pica Coin is an art-themed low-cap token. Park Quey-Lee said in court that she was not involved in any illegal cryptocurrency scheme or manipulation of token prices. She claimed that during her tenure as "chief communications officer and consultant" at Pica, she only participated in the planning and promotion of art exhibitions as an employee and did not understand matters related to cryptoassets. Despite this, Seong Hae-joong, CEO of Pica Coin, said Park's statement was false and that she had received cash compensation from Song. Song is currently arrested on charges of fraud and breach of trust, and prosecutors accuse him of soliciting non-existent art investments and manipulating the price of Pica Coin for personal gain.
