Internet reports that the U.S. government is about to announce the results of its Section 232 investigation into specific industries such as semiconductors, pharmaceutical raw materials, servers, key components, and minerals around the world. Economists pointed out that in terms of procedure, after the investigation results are released, the U.S. President will take action within 90 days of receiving the report. During this period, all countries have the opportunity to negotiate with the United States, so similar to the reciprocal tariffs in early April, the results of the Section 232 investigation and tariff plan should not be implemented immediately. The United States may sacrifice an investment framework or structure to further negotiate investment in the United States with other countries.
