Zeekr launches updated 001 with enhanced powertrain, ultra-fast charging

Zeekr (NYSE: ZK) today officially launched the updated Zeekr 001 shooting brake, introducing significant specification upgrades to one of its major models.

The updated Zeekr 001 carries an official starting price of RMB 269,800, higher than its predecessor's RMB 259,000.

With a limited-time RMB 10,000 trade-in subsidy, the effective starting price drops to RMB 259,800 ($36,410).

The model receives substantial specification upgrades including powertrain, battery, and autonomous driving hardware, while its exterior remains largely unchanged.

Specifically, the 2026 Zeekr 001 offers four variants priced at RMB 269,800, RMB 269,800, RMB 299,800, and RMB 329,800 respectively.

Customers placing orders before December 31 are eligible for a RMB 10,000 trade-in subsidy.

The previously available 2025 Zeekr 001 was launched in August 2024 with five variants priced at RMB 259,000, RMB 269,000, RMB 269,000, RMB 299,000, and RMB 329,000 respectively.

The 2026 Zeekr 001 lineup is built on a 900-volt high-voltage architecture, an upgrade from its predecessor's 800-volt system.

Powered by the 900-volt platform and the Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA), the updated Zeekr 001 delivers enhanced driving dynamics and faster charging speeds.

The updated Zeekr 001 offers one single-motor rear-wheel-drive variant and three dual-motor all-wheel-drive variants.

The all-wheel-drive powertrain delivers peak power of up to 680 kW (912 horsepower, 925 Ps), enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 2.83 seconds and a top speed of 280 km/h.

By comparison, the most powerful variant of the older Zeekr 001 produced 580 kW, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds.

The updated rear-wheel-drive Zeekr 001 delivers 370 kW, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.98 seconds.

It offers two battery options: the 95-kWh Zeekr Golden Battery and the 103-kWh CATL (HKG: 3750) Qilin Battery.

The all-wheel-drive variant priced at RMB 269,800 features the 95-kWh battery pack, supporting up to 12C charging rate to reach 80 percent charge from 10 percent in only 7 minutes.

The other three variants utilize the 103-kWh battery pack, achieving 10 percent to 80 percent charge in 10 minutes.

The Golden Battery delivers a CLTC range of 710 kilometers, while the Qilin Battery offers up to 810 kilometers CLTC range.

The updated Zeekr 001 comes standard with the Zeekr G-Pilot H7 driver assistance system, featuring 31 perception sensors including LiDAR.

Its driver assistance chip is the Nvidia Drive Thor-U, delivering a total computing power of 700 TOPS.

The older Zeekr 001 utilized the Mobileye EyeQ5H and Nvidia Drive Orin chips, with a maximum total computing power of 508 TOPS.
