Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) has launched the updated G6 in Malaysia, following the electric SUV's (sport utility vehicle) domestic market rollout in China this March.

As Xpeng marks its first anniversary in the Malaysian market, the 2025 G6 officially goes on sale in the Southeast Asian nation, the Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker announced today.

The updated G6 comes standard across all trims with the 5C fast-charging battery and an 800-volt silicon carbide platform, delivering faster charging, longer range, enhanced intelligence, and superior safety, the company said.

To date, the G6 has been launched in over 40 countries and regions including Southeast Asian markets like Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand, as well as Germany, France, Spain, and Australia, it noted.

The Xpeng G6 was initially launched in China on June 29, 2023. The 2025 G6 was launched in China on March 13 this year, currently starting at RMB 176,800 ($24,820).

In August 2024, Xpeng launched the 2024 G6 in Malaysia with a starting price of 165,820 Malaysian Ringgit.

The 2025 G6 offers three variants in Malaysia: RWD Long-range Pro, AWD Performance, and AWD Black Edition, priced at RM178,888 ($42,340), RM189,888, and RM193,888 respectively.

Xpeng has significantly intensified its overseas market expansion efforts over the past two years, aiming for overseas markets to contribute half of its sales within the next decade.

It exported 5,004 vehicles in September, marking a 79.4 percent year-on-year increase and a 65.8 percent rise from August, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
