Castle Securities: The Federal Reserve may cut interest rates again this year to be wary of slowing labor market
According to online reports, Griffin, founder of Citadel, said that as the Fed shifts its focus to the labor market, he expects the Fed to cut interest rates again in 2025. "I think they will cut interest rates again this year, two at most, and the Fed is concerned about the labor market because we do see a decline in the number of new jobs," Griffin said. "It's hard to know exactly where we are in the labor market right now," Griffin said."What we know is that without the inflow of immigrants, the U.S. population growth would be much lower, which would reduce our ability to create new jobs." As the founder of a large hedge fund and market maker company, Griffin has always advocated the independence of the Federal Reserve. Griffin also opposed Trump's proposal to have listed companies report financial results semi-annually rather than quarterly. He told CNBC he did not understand the benefits of concealing information from the market.
